Spiritual Modalities Unmasked: Discerning the Illusions on the Path to True Self-Mastery

Here at the Sons of Thunder Tribe organization our focus is on self-mastery. Each different spiritual dogma attempts to pave its own path, roadmap, and methods over the domain of achieving self actualization, enlightenment, or transcendence. However, those centered around divination and fortune telling abstract the spiritual away from the material, and attempt to circumvent this through mysticism alone which is divination, and in reality are an individual's attempt at control of outcome due to fear veiled through fantasy.

Through so called mystical psychedelic experiences that suppose an imbued download of wisdom from the divine. However, misattributed to always come from God’s divinity and goodness sometimes referred to as “creator,” goddess, or other misattributed image title of God.

Discernible as temporary, ascribed to the repetitive reliance on such 'journeys' without a genuine attainment of enduring and permanent transformation. That, unless through the graces of almighty God, depart oneself to perceive only the creation of spirit as a creature or creation without the revelation of the creator itself.

Thus a “veil” may be lifted to the deception of the spiritual sojourner to worship the creation rather than the creator in hubris to the point of idolatry of oneself.

We are reminded in Paul's epistle to the Romans that this is a natural tendency of the human condition to deny God for the creation itself. "They exchanged God's truth for a lie and worshiped the creation rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen." - Romans 1:25

Divination holds a captivating allure for those who lack a clear spiritual direction, yet it ultimately leads individuals to attribute the divine order established by God to mere natural forces. These forces, in turn, not only shape a person's identity but also govern their character. Practices like astrology or tarot cards attempt to gain control over outcomes through foreknowledge, particularly when one feels lost or devoid of purpose.

However, by embracing self-denial and carrying our cross daily with faith in Christ, we bring underlying issues to the surface. With a clear mind and steadfast heart, we can confront them. This process enables us to bring order to our personal lives and discern God's intended path for us—the path where the fruits of the Spirit flourish.

"In contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law." - Galatians 5:22-23

In the pursuit of self-mastery, one cannot disregard the spiritual realm. True self-mastery must be attained with a foundation of truth, for failing to do so can lead a person into a treacherous snare. Our adversary, the enemy, cunningly exposes fragments of the ethereal workings, deceiving us into mistaking it as the ultimate truth, thereby blurring the recognition of a divine Creator behind the intricacies of creation.
